This acquisition of a Japanese Edo period Kabuto with a dragon motif is an excellent example of the type of items we acquire for our clients. Step into the captivating world of Japanese history with this remarkable Kabuto dating back to the 18th to 19th century Edo period. This intricately crafted helmet, known as a Kabuto, boasts exquisite details that reflect the skilled craftsmanship of its time.

The helmet (Kabuto) features an inlaid iron zunari adorned with a phoenix shibuichi on a branch, symbolizing strength and resilience. The neck guard (shikoro) consists of six-man hineno green-laced iron slats, offering both protection and flexibility in combat. Perforated iron fins (fukigaeshi) adorned with a chrysanthemum add a touch of elegance to the design.
